ACKNOWLEDGEMENT GUIDELINES

Sponsor Acknowledgement

CNMS users must include the following acknowledgement on all publications that include work done at the CNMS:

[A portion of]* This research was conducted at the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences, which is a DOE Office of Science User Facility.

*DOE expects the acknowledgment to indicate which parts of the reported work were supported by which agency whenever possible. Therefore, it is preferable to state, for example, “Fabrication of the nanostructures was conducted at…” rather than simply “A portion of the research was conducted at...”

Press Releases

All press releases referring to work carried out at CNMS or any of the other Nanoscale Science Research Centers must include the following information:

The Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences is one of the five DOE Nanoscale Science Research Centers, premier national user facilities for interdisciplinary research at the nanoscale supported by the DOE Office of Science. Together the NSRCs comprise a suite of complementary facilities that provide researchers with state-of-the-art capabilities to fabricate, process, characterize and model nanoscale materials, and constitute the largest infrastructure investment of the National Nanotechnology Initiative. The NSRCs are located at DOE’s Argonne, Brookhaven, Lawrence Berkeley, Oak Ridge, Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories. Submission of User Publications

CNMS Users are required to submit to the CNMS User office copies of all publications that include research carried out at the CNMS. Users are requested to submit their publications by sending an email with PDF or MS-Word manuscript attached to cnmsuser@ornl.gov. Please include the following citation data either on the first page of the manuscript file or in the text of the email:

  • CNMS project number
  • title of journal, conference, or book
  • volume
  • page number(s)
  • year of publication
